Ubisoft has confirmed that Rainbow Six Siege’s multiplayer beta will run at 1080p on PS4 and 900p on Xbox One. The game is expected to run at 60fps on both platforms.
Ubisoft will continue optimising the game between now and release, however, suggesting it may be able to boost the Xbox One version’s resolution in time for launch.
“We’re still looking to push the hardware as much as possible in order to deliver a quality experience for players and will be able to share more about the final resolution once we’re closer to release date,” an FAQ posted on the Rainbow Six website.
Earlier today, Ubisoft warned players to expect some matchmaking issues throughout the beta test, telling users that they may only have “about a 60% chance to start a match successfully”. It also said that beta invites would roll out in waves, and that not all players would be given access today.
PC specification looks promising, hopefully they can get all versions of the game running at 1080p. Rainbow Six Siege’s beta is now open!
